At the heart of Pasión is the drive to serve the communities in Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo, Starr and surrounding counties by providing high quality artistic choral concerts to underserved populations.

Through exceptional, educational performances of repertoire indicative of different genres, countries, styles, and languages, Pasión seeks to educate the community, as well as ignite, inspire, and foster a love of choral music.

While the chorus has received national artistic acclaim, it has also focused on giving back to the communities of South Texas.  In addition to philanthropic work and ecunemical participation, to solidify Pasión’s legacy the organization envisions creating educational initiatives and opportunities for students and educators across South Texas.

As a non-profit organization, Pasión has proudly teamed-up with “Mujeres Unidas/Women Together”, “Bebo’s Angels”, and “RGV Music Therapy” to champion noteworthy causes in the Rio Grande Valley. Pasión has also included church worship service participation as supplementary outreach to enhance the lives of community members that may not be able to attend their concerts. Additionally, Pasión has collaborated with and shared the concert hall with members of the Valley Symphony Orchestra and Colibrí Children’s Chorus.
